Major multidisciplinary projects

Thameslink 2000

Multi-billion pound scheme to extend the existing Thameslink networks from 50 to 169 stations north and south of the River Thames.  Introduction of longer 12 car trains at an increase frequency of 24 trains per hour through the core London area.  The scheme includes major civil and structural works for:

·         New station at St Pancras Midland Road

·         New ‘Cross-site’ tunnels

·         Closure of Kings Cross Thameslink station

·         Redesign of Farringdon station

·         Redesign of Blackfriars station

·         New viaduct at Borough Market

·         Redesign London Bridge station

·         New Bermondsey grade separated ‘dive-under’ structures

·         New Tanners Hill ‘fly-down’ structure

·         Gauging and platform works to up to 160 outer-area stations

·         Structures associated with major signalling and power supply alterations and track remodelling

 

Great Eastern Resignalling Project

£250 million re-signalling scheme from London Liverpool Street to Colchester and Southend.  The scheme included new and altered signaling and OHLE structures, level crossing upgrades, demolition of signal boxes, platform gauging for line speed improvements, new cess walkways and accesses

Horsham Area Resignalling Scheme

Multi-million pound project for the re-signaling of Three Bridges to Billingshurst and Horsham to Dorking lines.  Scheme included new signal structures and gantries (mass concrete and piled foundations), earth retaining structures, steel down-bank platforms, concrete foundations and a platform extension at Horsham station.
